FCB and Audi were looking to create a customer experience like no other to showcase the power of the Audi Quattro, reward a selected group of lucky customers with the ultimate dining experience, and leverage this amazing Audi experience across marketing channels. Event Base was approached to provide the 5-star pop-up restaurant space with 360 views that could withstand and be installed in the toughest elements on the top of the Pisa Range in Cadrona valley.
Spacecube was the obvious choice from our range of structures, due to its beautiful sleek modular glass design that allowed for a stunning aesthetic against the mountain range with unobstructed views. We also knew that that Spacecube’s unique flat pack design, ease of transportability and construction, KPA certified rating and clever engineering ensured it was the best option for installing a temporary structure in challenging weather and snowy terrain. Due to the intricacies of this design and build the broader team of engineers, riggers, design specialists and production crew were all involved from the concept development and testing through to build day. A major focus for our team was putting measures in place to ensure the installation on the day was as straightforward as possible. This included producing test builds as well as pre-building 90% of the job prior to it leaving our Warehouse, eliminating as many challenges as possible and speeding up installation on the day.
What was created was an extraordinary activation and one of Audi’s most recognised campaigns globally. The Audi Quattro Bistro content was seen by more than a million New Zealanders driving sales results and a significant uplift in traffic to Audi’s website. The design aesthetics of the Spacecube proved stunning for the event, providing a sensational snow-capped view, world-class dining environment, and fitting perfectly to the brief and the finesse of the high dining and premium brand experience.
