Oneroa Accident & Medical Centre
Event Base were approached to custom design and build a drive-through community based assessment centre and testing station for Oneroa Accident & Medical Centre on Waiheke island.
The structure was designed to work in with the existing building to provide a weather-tight space that was isolated from the main medical centre. A key requirement was ensuring that staff could safely go between the testing station and medical building without being exposed to the weather, ensuring their PPE was kept dry at all times.
The structure was installed as a drive-through area, so patients did not need to leave their vehicles, and could be tested without risking the safety of other patients.
