Event Base was tasked with the design and build of the FIFA Under 20 World Cup Fan Zone for the team at UK based Icon Live. The challenge was to create a standout brand presence and eye-catching event environment to draw in a crowd of football lovers, especially the youth audience attending the fan zone to watch and engage with the 2015 World Cup.
Our design team developed site plans and renders for a custom 12m x12m truss structure with roof to ceiling branding and imagery capturing the spirit of Auckland and the Football World Cup. Our production and rigging crew assisted with the installation of a number of custom interior fittings and experiential elements to meet Icon Live’s vision. This included interactive play areas from a locker room experience through to a kick point and goalkeepers challenge. The final result was an engaging and immersive event experience for families and football lovers who were at Queens Wharf to visit the football fan zone.
